We have designed a Literacy Program that embodies a strategic and comprehensive approach to literacy achievement, embracing both explicit instruction and student-centred approaches.
Our Literacy Program draws on best classroom practice that incorporates research-based programs and strategies such as Sounds-Write, The Big 6 of Reading and 6+1 Writing Traits. Meaningful reading and writing opportunities are embedded into our daily practice and support children to reach their full potential.
We are currently participating in the Speech Pathologists in Schools program which aims to increase teacher understanding, skills and confidence to support children who have speech, language and communication needs.
